Dapper Day - The Mod Squad!
I’m back with another Dapper Day recap.
On Day 2, we got inspired by the 60s mod scene in London. To be honest, this theme was a little bit out of my wheelhouse. 60s is so bold and colorful, and the silhouettes can be very different from the sort of thing i’m used to. But after trying on a million dresses, and hours of searching on etsy, i found this cute mock-two-piece. Styling the red with lavender was Sam’s suggestion! A color combination i never would have thought of myself, but I LOVED! I 100% felt like a plucky detective all day.

Earrings - Target
I looked for pieces that I could easily mix and match in my regular wardrobe. And ended up with a blend of modern and vintage accessories that really helped me add that pop of color!
As per tradition @SamanthaVanWie made an adorable video diary of the weekend. And be sure to subscribe, she posts the cutest home movies, and i just love her editing style!
I’m curious! What is your favorite decade from the past? If you could (or are planning on) attending the next dapper day, what would you base your look on? Let me know in the comments and I’ll chat with you again next wednesday!
P.S My very sweet sister nominated me for “Best Local Author” in Orlando Weekly Magazine! If you’d like to cast a ballot - here’s a link! https://m.orlandoweekly.com/orlando/BestofOrlandoReadersPoll2019/Page?fbclid=IwAR1Lg9oZY_JygGSB_O2vZJAyx1JoseY-56IrfUzirEtt7TFdR_fhZhPJ_BY#/gallery/?group=317249 and thank you to everyone who has voted so far! To be candid, i think winning would be a long-shot. (but also very exciting!) so thanks again for thinking of me!
